Freya, Lisa and Ostara

I started making collars for my own dogs and when friends saw them they wanted collars for their own dogs, I decided to start making and selling dog collars.  I source all the braid myself and my own dogs have their own collection that grows every time I source some new braid.

I live in Swindon, Wiltshire with my husband Paul, dogs Freya (a stunning white German Shepherd) and Ostara (a very cute red Belgian Shepherd Tervuren) and some chickens.

My day job is in IT but I love being creative with my sewing machine and love to make my dogs new collars even when they don’t need them.

The story so far of Baskervilles Collars

After a disappointing search for different and beautiful collars, I found some stunning braid in my local sewing shop

which I used to decorate a frame drum my husband Paul had made me.  I was looking for a way to use his braid and decided have a go at making dog collars for my own dogs.  Draco (a grey Belgium Shepherd Tervuren) got a beautiful pink with gold and blue braid collar and looked stunning in it.  That was it I was on a roll and bought a lot of braid from the sewing shops over the next few months and made him his own little collection.  When Draco passed over Freya and Ostara got their own collar collection.  Friends and family saw these collars and wanted ones too.  And so was born Baskervilles Collars.
